Transitioning From School To Work

Jazzy began her SLES (School Leaver Employment Supports) journey with HELP in 2021 while she was completing her final year of high school.
Over the past 12 months, Jazzy has undertaken travel training, learned about appropriate behaviour in the workplace, worked on her communication skills, and role-played salon scenarios, all in the pursuit of her dream career.
With a new range of skills under her belt, Jazzy has been able to land a work experience opportunity at the very aptly named Jazzy Lane Hair Studio in Toowoomba.
Her day to day duties at the salon include:
Jazzy absolutely loves helping at the salon and interacting with staff and customers, and is excited to continue working toward her future.
Way to go Jazzy!!!

HELP superstar Jazzy recently featured in The Chronicle’s 100 most influential women list to celebrate International Women’s Day 2022! We get the feeling this isn’t the last we’ve heard from this very talented young woman- watch this space!
