Achieve Your Goals with Our New Hub Programs

It’s never too late or too early to set some new goals. We know that chasing your goals and trying something new can be scary. But it doesn’t have to be! Thanks to our new Hub programs, you can improve work and social skills and experiences, look after your health and wellbeing, focus on your artistic expression, all while achieving your NDIS goals.

And the best part is, Help support workers are by your side every step of the way.

What is a Hub and what can you do there?

Help Hubs provide a safe and welcoming space where people with disability can learn, grow, and be themselves. When you go to a Help Hub you are supported by our specially trained support workers who will help you work towards your NDIS goals – no matter what they may be.

We have Hubs located right across South East Queensland including:

What are NDIS goals?

Goals are things you want to achieve. Sometimes it’s helpful to think of goals as things you want for the future. Your goals could include things like:

  • Improving your physical health and wellbeing, for example: going to the gym, learning to cook healthy food, or practicing meditation.
  • Building daily living skills to increase your independence, for example: learning how to catch public transport, going grocery shopping, or food preparation.
  • Making new friends and engaging with the wider community, for example: going to the library, meeting friends for a BBQ, or attending a disco.
  • Finding and keeping a job, for example: improving communication and work skills, having work experience to explore different job options, building your confidence in the workplace or developing hands-on projects.

It’s important to set goals because they can motivate you, give you more independence, and help you create a better lifestyle.

Not sure how to set a goal? Check our easy guide to setting NDIS goals.

July 2024 – Help’s new Hub Programs

There’s something for everyone at Help Hubs. Our six new Hub programs have been specially designed to meet participant needs, provide relevant real-world experiences and learning opportunities.

They reflect Help’s commitment to our participants and the disability care we provide and were designed through consultation with Hub families and participants. They offer the benefits of community participation inside and outside of the Hubs for further skills development.

Community at the core

Help’s Hub programs involve active engagement with the community. Local groups and expert partners like RecLink Australia, Dancing with Ali, Brisbane City Council, Brisbane Tool Library, Sunnybank Men’s Shed, Sustainable Gardening Australia, and others will contribute to program delivery. These collaborations foster shared learning experiences, both within the Hubs and beyond, ultimately enriching the lives of participants.
