Effective 15 April, the merger will see Help join the IntoWork Group of companies while retaining its name.
Help CEO Denver Fresser said joining forces with IntoWork will ensure a stronger future for Help and the ability to help more people with disability.
“From our first discussion with IntoWork, we knew we were engaging with a leadership team and an organisation that was well aligned with ours in culture, values, purpose and vision,” he said.
“Together with ensuring financial sustainability, we can maximise opportunities and the benefits of operating at a larger scale.”
Help Board Chair John Gilmour described the merger as a very positive step for Help. “We can continue to build on Help’s proud history, ensure a vibrant future for our team, and most importantly, help more people,” he said.
As part of its offering the IntoWork Group supports people with disability to achieve their life and career goals through delivery of DES and NDIS services in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and the Northern Territory.
IntoWork Group CEO Poul Bottern said the merger will increase both organisations’ capacity “By combining our strengths, Help and IntoWork can continue to deliver the best possible services for even more individuals and organisations than ever before.”
“We’ll work together to enhance further the exceptional work that Help has been doing in South East Queensland for more than 50 years,” he said. Denver Fresser will continue as Help CEO with governance by the Help Board.
